DMCA
We value the rights of creators and content owners, and we take claims of copyright infringement seriously. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”), we have implemented a standardized procedure for responding to valid notices of alleged copyright infringement. This process is designed to fairly protect the interests of both copyright holders and users of our platform. When we receive a proper DMCA takedown notice, our team reviews the submission to ensure it meets all legal requirements. If the notice is complete and valid, we act promptly to disable access to or remove the material claimed to be infringing. In doing so, we also notify the user who posted the content and inform them of their rights to respond via a formal counter-notification process. Please be advised that under the DMCA, when a takedown notice is received, we are required to forward the full content of that notice to the individual responsible for the allegedly infringing material. This includes your name, contact information, and a description of your complaint. This transparency is part of the legal process and allows the other party to consider whether they wish to submit a counter-claim. If you are a copyright owner or a party authorized to act on behalf of one, and you believe that content on our site violates your rights, you may file a takedown notice by providing the following information in writing: A description of the copyrighted work or works that you believe have been infringed. If multiple works are involved, a comprehensive list or representative examples must be included. Identification of the material that is allegedly infringing, including its exact location on our site (such as a specific URL or link). Your full legal name, physical address, telephone number, and email address where you can be contacted. A good faith statement that the use of the content is unauthorized by the copyright owner, the owner’s agent, or the law. A statement that the information you are submitting is accurate, and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf, made under penalty of perjury. Your physical or electronic signature, verifying that you are submitting the notice truthfully. Once a valid notice has been reviewed and processed, we will act to remove or disable the content in question. The user who posted it will be notified and may submit a counter-notification if they believe the removal was the result of a mistake or misidentification. To file a counter-notice, the alleged infringer must submit a written response containing: A clear identification of the material that was removed, including its original location on our service prior to removal. The user’s name, address, phone number, and email address. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that they believe the material was removed by mistake or due to misidentification. A declaration that the user consents to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court in their region (or any applicable U.S. jurisdiction if located abroad). A statement agreeing to accept service of process from the original complainant or their authorized representative. The user’s physical or electronic signature. After receiving a valid counter-notification, we will promptly share a copy with the original complaining party. If we are not notified within 10 to 14 business days that a legal action has been filed to prevent the reinstatement of the content, we may restore the removed material to our platform. Please note that both parties involved in the takedown process—whether submitting a notice or a counter-notification—must act in good faith. Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, knowingly making false statements in either form can result in legal liability, including potential damages and attorney’s fees. We encourage all users and copyright holders to approach this process responsibly. If you have any doubts about your rights or whether a work is being lawfully used (e.g., under a license or a fair use doctrine), we recommend seeking legal guidance before initiating a DMCA-related action. Our DMCA policy is intended to strike a fair balance between the protection of intellectual property and the rights of users, and we remain committed to enforcing it in accordance with applicable law.
